NIGERIA GOVTECH AWARDS 2024: CELEBRATING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Recognizing State Governors Impact on Digital Innovations

Nigeria is set to honor several state governors and public sector leaders at the 2024 Nigeria Govtech Awards for their contributions to digital transformation in governance. Among those being recognized are Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Uba Sani of Kaduna, and Peter Mbah of Enugu. The awards, organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), aim to highlight the importance of digital innovations in improving public service delivery.

The two-day Nigeria Govtech Conference and Awards, scheduled for October 10-11, 2024, in Abuja, will focus on the theme, “Digital Innovations as a Catalyst for the Renewed Hope Agenda.” The event will bring together government officials, technology experts, and international partners to discuss how digital technologies are reshaping sectors such as healthcare, education, and financial management.

The recognition of these governors underscores the importance of integrating technology into governance. Lagos State, under Sanwo-Olu, has been at the forefront of leveraging technology for transportation and health services, while Kaduna State’s Uba Sani has spearheaded reforms in digital education and financial management.
