it was a harvest of draws in yesterday's soccer results accros the major leagues. With Bayern and Frankfurt pairing at 3:3 draw in Germany, PSG had 1:1 draw with Nice in France, Real Sociedad and Athletico had a 1:1 draw in Spain and in the English Premiership both Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest and Manchester United vs Aston Villa drew theit matches with one-all and zeroes respectively. Far in Italy, both Juventus vs Cagliari, and Monza vs Roma also ended in one-all draws.

It was really a harvest of draws!

MARESCA PRAISES THE FIGHTING SPIRIT OF HIS PLAYERS

Enzo Maresca praised his Chelsea players for their "fighting spirit" following a chaotic 1-1 Premier League draw against 10-man Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge. A late-game melee involving nearly all players and substitutes was triggered when Forest’s Neco Williams shoved Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella off the field, causing a collision with Maresca. As a result, Cucurella received his fifth yellow card, ruling him out of Chelsea’s upcoming match against Liverpool. Chelsea, having accumulated six yellow cards for the second time this season, may face a fine.

Maresca dismissed concerns about discipline, emphasizing that he appreciated the team's collective fight and unity. He noted that while there are areas to improve, he didn’t see a significant problem.

During the scuffle, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who had been substituted, was seen raising his hand to a Forest player, an incident missed by the officials but potentially subject to retrospective action.

The match saw Forest take an unexpected lead early in the second half, with Chris Wood scoring after a set-piece play. Chelsea’s Noni Madueke equalized soon after with a well-placed shot. Both teams experienced tense moments, with Forest's James Ward-Prowse receiving a red card for a handball, and both goalkeepers making crucial saves during an intense 13 minutes of added time. Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo described the match as highly emotional and difficult to manage.

Jose Mourinho is a “strong candidate” for next Everton Coaching Job

Jose Mourinho who in the past was successful with two big teams in the Premiership (Chelsea and Manchester United) is now a candidate to become Everton’s new coach.

The “special one” was at Chelsea in two spell of 2004 - 2007 and 2013 - 2015, where he won 3 Premier League titles, 3 League Cups, 1 FA Cup plus 1 Community Shield; and at United from 2016-2018, where he won the Europa League and Carabao cup.

After his sack at Old Trafford in December 2018, he has since gone on to Tottenham Hotspur, Roma and is currently at Fenerbahce.

Football Insider reports that the Special One may not be in Turkiye much longer though. Sources have told them that “Jose Mourinho is a ‘strong option’ to take over from Sean Dyche at Everton once Dan Friedkin completes his takeover”.
